To change your life, you need learn new ideas, apply those ideas, and stay true to the process. Confused. Let me explain.
Step 1: Learn a new idea
For centuries, humans tried different things to be able to fly. Most of them tried to emulate what they see flying; birds. People tried to build artificial wings to fly. They failed. The a couple of brothers learned a new idea. Air is a fluid, like water. So they thought, why not build a ship with winds. They took a motor, turn the propellers the other ways, adapted its design and attached it to a light craft with wings. This is how they invented the airplane.
If you are not succeeding, then you must be doing something wrong. Learn a new way to do what you need to do. Read how others succeeded. Listen to successful people. Observe successful people. Successful people are usually happy to share their success stories if you only care to read or listen. Success leaves clues. Observe successful people and see what they keep doing to remain successful. Take notes. Your mental notes will be forgotten or corrupted. Write is on paper so that you can go back and review everything you learn. Reading is critical. A good book could teach you something in 2 hours that might take you a lifetime to learn on your own.
Step 2: Take action.
When you learn how others became successful or how to become successful, take action. Don’t procrastinate. Create a plan and execute it. A plan is full of actions items. If your plan is not full of action items, it is not an effective plan. A plan outlines what actions you need to take. What good is a plan that doesn’t tell you what actions you need to take. An unsuccessful person will try something a few times, a successful person will keep trying, learning, modifying plan, and re-actioning, until he succeeds. Take action.
Step 3: Follow the process
Follow the process fully and don’t try to cut corners. You learned a process to successfully market products online and sell something. But then you decide to skips the more difficult or uncomfortable steps. What happens next? You fail. A process only works when it is followed. When you use a process, use it fully until you become an expert at it. Then you will know enough to make improvements to it.
